Under Secretary Janet Hale resigned effective May 1, 2006. Scott Charbo, who oversaw technology issues for the department, serves as acting under secretary for management.

Chief of Staff Susan Richmond announced her resignation on March 24, 2006.
Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer
Chief Human Capital Officer K. Gregg Prillaman resigned and will leave the department on June 9, 2006. Ron James will serve as the Acting Chief Human Capital Officer.
Office of the Chief Information Officer
Chief Technology Officer Lee Holcomb will retire on June 30, 2006. A replacement has not yet been identified.
