Subcommittee on Emergency Communications, Preparedness, and Response MARKUP

Legislation:
H.R. 3837 (Ms. Kilroy), the “Strengthening and Updating Resources and Equipment Act or SURE Act,” to amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to provide for clarification on the use of funds relating to certain homeland security grants, and for other purposes.

H.R. 3980 (Mr. Cuellar), the “Identifying Redundancies and Developing Performance Metrics Act,” to provide for identifying and eliminating redundant reporting requirements and developing meaningful performance metrics for homeland security preparedness grants, and for other purposes.

H.R. 3978 (Mr. Rogers), the ‘‘First Responder Anti-Terrorism Training Resources Act,” to amend the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 to authorize the Secretary of Homeland Security to accept and use gifts for authorized purposes, including first responder terrorism preparedness training, and for other purposes.
